This Once Grand Department Store at the Corner of York Street and Sir Baron Jayatilaka Mawatha, built to supply British and Sir Baron jayatilaka Mawatha, built to supply British Planters and Colonial administrators with every imported luxury, has changed little since its Victorian heyday, and its interior, with glass and mahogany cabinets and brasswork, is a living mercantile Museum. It is open during usual shopping hours.
